Structure

There are two types of vitamins: 1. Fat soluble - A, D, E, K & F, and 2. Water soluble - B & C.

Fat soluble vitamins are found in oily or fatty foods and can be stored in the body. If too many are taken in excess they can become toxic.

Water soluble vitamins are dissolved in water in various different foods and cannot be stored by the body, therefore foods that contain water soluble vitamins need to be consumed on a daily basis.
